Time to Replace Your Concave?

A worn concave causes small inefficiencies in the operation of your combine, which can lead to big problems for your operation such as crop loss and increased crop damage.

How do you know if a concave is worn? Look for these replacement indicators:

  • 1/8" radius of the concave bar leading edge
  • 1/8" to 3/16" maximum bar height wear for small grains
  • 1/4" maximum bar height wear for large grains
  • 1/8" wear variation within the concave
